キーワード検索
すべてのINSDレコードをそれぞれが由来する研究プロジェクト単位にまとめて検索し、プロジェクト単位で配列をダウンロードすることも可能です。
大抵はプロジェクト検索とレコード検索で同じ結果を返しますが、配列の特徴などの表現やクローン名はレコード検索をお薦めします。
1. プロジェクト検索
  プロジェクトを全文検索します。
  検索の対象はINSDレコードにおけるプロジェクト内での共通のフィールドのみです。
  検索キーワードは日本語、英語に対応しています。
  AND検索(スペースで連結)、フレーズ検索(二重引用符(")で囲む)、OR検索(" OR "で連結)、除外キーワード(単語の前にマイナス記号(-)を付加)など一般的な検索手法が利用できます。
2. レコード検索
  INSDレコードを全文検索します。検索結果はプロジェクト別にまとめて、二元分類します。
  検索キーワードは英語のみ、検索方法はフレーズ検索(スペースで連結)のみ受け付けています。
BLAST検索
DNAデータベース全体を配列で検索して、マッチしたレコードを自動的にプロジェクト単位にまとめて、二元分類します。
多型研究などで数百も登録された同一遺伝子に邪魔されることなく、関連遺伝子を見つけることが出来ます。
ESTなどにいくらマッチがあっても気にしないで全体に検索を投げられます。
これまで知らなかったINSDディビジョン(特許や微生物など)に類似配列があるかもしれません。
トレンド分析
プロジェクトは、リリースされた日付とプロジェクトのレコード数の2つの特徴で序列化あるいはグラフ表示できます。
また、登録者の国籍でフィルターすることが可能になっています。
例えば、我が国では配列決定研究が減少傾向にあることがわかります。
