More than 20,000 additional probes have been added for (1) better subtyping of respiratory and diarrheal viral as well as nonviral pathogens, (2) enhanced detection of specific viral families, and (3) subtyping of HIV/SIV strains. Control oligonucleotides are also included in the design.
